羊圈小村: 移民与定居

【摘要】羊圈小村的历史概述,或许与西方游客所得到的印象和媒体对当地或类似地区的报导大异其趣,就像有人形容泸沽湖一带是个完全远离历史变迁的“原始”社会。我们看到在这里的人们,长期以来承受不停移居的影响、政治的动荡、让他们不知所措的社会转变─我们也同样不知所措。羊圈今日的面貌是经由历史的熔炉缔造而来,这段历史一部分会记载下来,另一部分我们将永远隐藏;但历史不会就此停止:羊圈,这个地理、经济与社会状态都与世隔绝的小村落,到现在还不停地改变。真正应该探究的是,重复的变迁他们将是否只能默默承受,或是他们也能够跟随变迁、或至少拥有部分控制权,让所有的命运都由住在这里的村民共同来决定。

Abstract
The small village of Yangjuan, Yanyuan County, is inhabited
by around 1,000 people. It has been extensively researched
by Stevan Harrell and his students, as well as by Li Xingxing
and Benoit Vermander among other. Where do these people
come from? When did the various families living in Yangjuan
settle in the area? What contacts and conflicts happened
in the process? This study attempts to record in details
the process that took place over the last nine generations.

About the Author:
Benoit Vermander, born in 1960, obtained his MA in Politics
from Yale University, Ph.D. in Political Science from Institut
d’Etudes Politiques, Paris. He is the Director of Taipei
Ricci Institute, editor-in-chief of Renlai monthly. He specializes
in religious anthropology. Among other publications he has
authored a book on Yangjuan village (Taipei, 2005)
