1. Official invitations will be issued by the sponsoring and co-sponsoring units. Secretary-general Bamo Qubumo will be responsible for composing the Chinese version; Vice-Chair Stevan Harrell will be responsible for the English translation. Invitations to foreign scholars will be sent by Bamo Qubumo and Stevan Harrell; domestic invitations will be sent by the Meigu County People's Government.

2. Selecting Scholars to be invited

Stevan Harrell, Sano Kenji, Bamo Qubumo, and Huang Jianming will have responsibility for compiling the list of foreign scholars to be invited; responsibility for compiling the list of domestic scholars to be invited will be divided among liaison repr e sentatives of the various provinces, regions, and municipalities:

For Beijing, Bamo Qubumo and Pu Zhongliang

For Yunnan, Pu Zhen and Pu Xuewang

For Guizhou, Wang Xuchao and Li Pingfan

For Guangxi, Luo Wuzhi

For Sichuan , Ma Lunzy and Hmosi Cyho .

The lists will be compiled in consultation with the conference sponsors.

3. Logistical preparations

In addition to the scholarly group, Meigu has already formed a conference group, and will take responsibility for logistical preparations for the conference. When the time for the conference comes hear, they will arrange a contact in Xichang, which will be responsible for the work of getting foreign scholars from Xichang to Meigu; Ma Lunzy and Hm osi Cy ho will be in charge of this. For specific arrangements, foreign scholars should always check the notices on the conference website of the Institute of Ethnic Literature.
