| 上个世纪60年代美国学者洛德创立比较口头传统研究新领域，揭示口头史诗传统的创造力量，确立了一套严密的口头诗学的分析方法。洛德的研究表明，史诗研究不再是欧洲古典学的代名词，它已经成为跨文化、跨学科的比较口头传统研究。1970年代后陆续出现的表演理论、民族志诗学等新学说，充分利用了口头传统资料，吸收当代语言学、人类学和民俗学的成果，进行理论和方法论的建构，大大提高了史诗研究的学术地位，使它成为富于创新的领域。本文以帕里、洛德、纳吉和弗里等学者的代表著作为线索，以欧洲民俗学史、口头传承研究史和美国民俗学百年史为参照系，阐述口头诗学的基本概念、研究方法和学科形成过程，确定它在西方民俗学历史上的地位，说明它与中国民俗学研究的关联。 |
